WHAT IS HVO?
HVO fuel (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is a form of renewable fuel that has been produced from renewable and sustainably sourced vegetable fats and oils. HVO uses hydrogen as the catalyst, which is what distinguishes HVO from biodiesel. This makes it a more clean-burning, environmentally-friendly renewable diesel alternative, without the short shelf life of regular biodiesel.
BENEFITS AND CHARACTERISTICS OF HVO INCLUDE:
Extended 10-year storage lifespan with a reduced need for regular testing
Cuts greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%
Year-round performance in all seasons even in low temperatures
Alternative to diesel and is compatible with existing fueling infrastructures.
Meets EN 15940:2016 specifications - tried and tested product; it’s clean, safe, and endorsed by a wide range of original equipment manufacturers.
Biodegradable and non-toxic
Zero FAME, sulphur and fossil content
Why Use HVO fuel?
Many alternatives to fossil fuels are not all that straightforward compared to HVO. Some require new pipework, unique storage conditions and charging points.
The benefit of using HVO for your business is that it can be a direct drop-in diesel alternative to diesel; it can be used exactly like red diesel and stored in the same conditions.
HVO provides a simple alternative for fuelling your business as a replacement for fossil diesel. By using HVO, you will join us in tackling climate change by reducing your carbon emissions.
Compatibility
HVO can be used in diesel engines without modification and is approved for all heavy vehicles of the market-leading engine manufacturers such as Scania, Volvo, Mercedes, MAN among others.

Completely running out of heating oil can leave you without hot water or heating, this is especially inconvenient during winter when it’s needed the most. Running fully dry of heating oil is easily done by not keeping an eye on your fuel levels or from fuel theft
